One of the most requested features on Facebook is apparently the ability to edit posts and comments.
Finally the feature is being rolled out.
Around a year ago Facebook gave users the ability to edit comments within 30 seconds of posting them, after which they were static. Now users can edit their comments at any time, or deleted them. However, a comment history will be available to all so you can't go back and completely change your message -- everyone will still be able to see what it was originally.
The rollout is happening now and is expected to flow through to all 900 million users in a day or two. Look out for the little 'pencil' when you however over your comments....
The Edit option for a comment
This edit feature only applies to comments and not the original post, which can not be edited.
No word on when, or if, the mobile versions will support this -- web only for now.
I welcome comments on posts; it's your turn to have your say. You may login using a number of social networks, or simply type your comment then click on the Name field and tick the option to post as a Guest.comments powered by Disqus
